Cassee and David have co-managed the Moura Aquatic Facility since 2014, and combined, possess a vast knowledge base on “Learn to Swim”, coaching and aquatic centre maintenance & management.

The streamline Swimming Centre is an Austswim accredited “Learn to Swim” school, and our goal is to make an impact within the community, by empowering young people with water safety knowledge and swimming dexterity.

Meet The Team

Cassee Evans

Pool Manager & LTS Teacher

Cassee successfully managed the Moura Aquatic Facility for four seasons from 2014 – 2018 and in that time maintained a positive working relationship with the Banana Shire Council.

Cassee’s background in teaching consists of nine years’ experience working as a teacher’s aide at Moura State School, five of those years in the area of special needs education. In her time at Moura pool she provided quality products and excellent customer service.

With her Certifications and four years of coaching and teaching experience, Cassee leads our “Learn to Swim” program as well as manages the facility.

She is a huge supporter of competitive swimming and has previously held the position of President at the Moura Marlins Swimming Club.

David Evans

Maintenance Manager

David was in charge of pool maintenance and water quality at the Moura Aquatic Facility for four seasons from 2014 – 2018 and in that time, maintained a positive working relationship with the Banana Shire Council and all suppliers.

From 1992 to 2023, David has been employed at Dawson Mine in a permanent position as Electrical Leading Hand on an even time roster.

David has now moved permanently to Capella and is the Water & Sewage Treatment plant operator in Capella & Tieri. 

David is responsible for managing the facility maintenance, health and safety.
